A nine-year-old in Malaysia is doing her part to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic. In between online learning and playtime, Nur Afia Qistina Zamzur is hard at work stitching protective gear. She started the project after hearing about a shortage at a hospital near her home in Negeri Sembilan. Nur Afia has already stitched over 130 PPE gowns — making up to four a day. She picked up sewing at the age of five after watching her mother, who’s a tailor.
